New World Order
It is not at all uncommon in our day to hear politicians making speeches about the New World Order. Some strongly support and work for a New World Order and see it as the dawning of a great new era of peace and prosperity. Others oppose any suggestion of a New World Order and view it as a means of taking away the sovereignty of independent nations. The Scriptures have much to say about the establishment of a new order on planet Earth. It is however, a very different world order than that being spoken of by the politicians.
The Origin of the New World Order
When the New World Order is spoken of in political circles today, it is viewed as
the culmination of man's ever improving society. It is thought that man will be able
to bring in the New World Order through negotiation and cooperation. The all-

In Genesis, the stated purpose for the creation of man is that he might have dominion on the earth. As man's creator, God planned that that dominion would be on His behalf.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:26
When man sinned against God, his allegiance changed, and he now rules the earth on behalf of Satan rather that God. In God's establishment of the nation Israel, it is clear that his plan to establish a New World Order was continuing.
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred,
and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee: And I will make of
thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt
be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth
thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 12:1- And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever. According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David. II Samuel 7:16,17
God's plan for Israel was to use them to bless all the families of the earth and have their king, on the throne of David, rule over the New World Order. In the days of the prophet Daniel, King Nebuchadnezzar learned of God's purpose to establish a New World Order.
. . . O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. Daniel 4:31b, 32
The person to whom God will ultimately give the kingdom of men is the Seed of David, as revealed by the prophet Nathan in the passage quoted above. When this Seed came, God's plan to establish a New World Order was reaffirmed.
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call
his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and
the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign
over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Luke
1:30- And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. Luke 19:11,12
The nobleman spoken of in the parable above is Jesus Christ returning to His Father to receive the kingdom and bring it back to earth. A kingdom in which He will reign on the throne of His father David. In the book of Revelation, God's plan to establish a New World Order reaches its fulfillment.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20:6
This purpose of God continues with the creation of a new heaven and new earth.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Revelation 21:3
This then is the true New World Order, an order where Jesus Christ sits upon the throne of His Father, David, ruling in righteousness and justice forever. This is certainly a far cry from the New World Order envisioned by the current political leaders of the world. At this point, we should add a note about Paul's epistles. The purpose revealed by God in Paul's epistles is the establishment of a new heavenly order. The Church, the Body of Christ, to whom Paul ministered, will rule in the heavenlies, in much the same way that Israel will rule on the earth. This is Paul's clear message to the Philippians.
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:20,21
Members of the Body of Christ will not be a part of a New World Order, but a new heavenly order. As we consider the New World Order, we must keep in mind that its origin in with God. The New World Order is the result neither of man's planning or execution. In fact, it will replace the current corrupt world order of man with a righteous world order planned and executed by God.
The Establishment of the New World Order
A part of man's effort to bring in a New World Order is the belief that the New World Order will be established by negotiation and treaty. In fact, Scripture tells us that God's New World Order will be established by wrath and warfare. When we look at God's instruction to Israel in the Old Testament about how they were to deal with the Gentile nations, we see that God is not inclined to negotiate and compromise in order to achieve His ends.
When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it.
And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall
be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and
they shall serve thee. And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war
against thee, then thou shalt besiege it: And when the LORD thy God hath delivered
it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:
But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city,
even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the
spoil of thine enemies, which the LORD thy God hath given thee. Thus shalt thou do
unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities
of these nations. But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth
give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: But thou
shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites,
and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded
thee: Deuteronomy 20:10-
Notice that the passage quoted above is very explicit about the fate of those that would seek to prevent the establishment of God's New World Order through the nation Israel. The Gentiles who were living in the land that God had promised to Abraham were to be completely and utterly destroyed–men, women, children, and animals–all that breatheth. The Gentiles that lived outside the promised land could be spared this fate only by becoming servants of Israel. While this system of conquest goes against the politically correct ideas of a New World Order that are put forward today, it is nonetheless the system that God ordained in the past and will use again in the future to establish His New World Order. The prophet Joel speaks of this type of conquest at the return of Christ.
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the
inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at
hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness,
as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath
not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of
many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth:
the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness;
yea, and nothing shall escape them. Joel 2:1-
The New World Order is established by the armies of heaven marching though the land and destroying everything in their path. It is this slaughter that leads to the peace and rest of the New World Order.
I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the
myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled,
and white. Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with
me said unto me, I will show thee what these be. And the man that stood among the
myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to
and fro through the earth. And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among
the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold,
all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest. Zechariah 1:8-
It is only after the armies of heaven go to and fro in the earth that there is rest. Although the New World Order is a time of peace for the earth, that time of peace is initiated by a time of war such as the world has never seen.
No amount of treaties and agreements can produce a New World Order. It will only be established by God destroying His enemies and building His kingdom on the ashes of the corrupt, decayed, and defeated world order that presently exists.
The Capital of the New World Order
Another fallacy of man's image of the New World Order is that most see it a place where all nations are equal and ruled from some central united capital. Perhaps Paris, or London, or Washington D.C. Perhaps the New World Order would be ruled from the United Nations in New York, or the World Court in the Netherlands, or traditionally neutral Switzerland. While all these ideas may be in keeping with man's idea of the New World Order, they are not at all what God has in mind for His New World Order. God's New World Order, the true New World Order, will be ruled from Jerusalem and
the nation Israel will stand above and over all the other nations of the world. When
Christ returns, he will return not to some great man-
Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. Zechariah 14:3,4
In the kingdom that will be established at Christ's return, Jerusalem will become the center of activity.
The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall
come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established
in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations
shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to
the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us
of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law,
and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:1-
Not only will Jerusalem be the capital of the New World Order during the thousand-
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth
were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
. . . And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the
temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine
in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And
the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings
of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not
be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the
glory and honour of the nations into it. Revelation 21:1,2,22-
The capital of the New World Order is not selected by all nations coming together and choosing a "neutral" location. It is established by Israel being exalted above all other nations and her capital, Jerusalem, becoming the center of activity in the New World Order.
The Glory of the New World Order
Perhaps one of the most arrogant claims of man concerning the New World Order is that his efforts will one day produce utopia. When Scripture tells us of the true New World Order, it becomes apparent that nothing less than the supernatural intervention of God can produce such conditions.
The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. . . . Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. Isaiah 35:1,5,6 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4
The only way that the conditions described by Isaiah and John can come to pass is by the curse being removed from the earth. That is exactly what will happen in the New World Order.
And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out
of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either
side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits,
and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing
of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the
Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: Revelation 22:1-
The true New World Order is more marvelous and glorious than anything that man can produce, or even imagine. In the New World Order all death, sorrow, and pain will be a thing of the past. The earth will be restored to its original, perfect condition, the condition that existed before the entry of sin and the curse. Only God, in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ, could pay the penalty for that sin and remove the curse from the earth. Only God can bring in the New World Order.
