God has desired a place to dwell among men since the garden of Eden.
After the fall of man, God gave to Moses a plan for a place for Him to dwell among His chosen people. Solomon was the one to finally bring this to fruition.
After the fall of Israel, God again gave a plan to dwell among men to the Apostle Paul. This dwelling place would not be among His people, but within His people.
God’s habitation among men in the past was a physical building. It required physical material to build and maintain. Now when placed in Christ, he becomes a physical place for God to dwell. This makes the body of Christ the dwelling place for God on earth today. No building required.
