Some proponents of Calvinism teach that God caused Pilate and Israel to crucify Christ. That they really had no choice or free will in the matter.
Taking this stance leads them to believe that God controls everything, down to the dust motes floating in the air.
If this is true, God committed the greatest sin in all of human history.
Did Israel have a choice in demanding that Christ go to the cross? It is plain from Old Testament passages that they clearly had a choice, and were even given instructions on how the Christ should die.
