In Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians, each book looks at relationships in the body of Christ. Ephesians is about the relationship of the body of Christ to its’ head; Colossians is concerned with the relationship of the head to the body, and finally Philippians is emphasizing the relationship of the body to each other. This is why the salutations in each book is slightly different.
