Many Christians can tell you what the shortest verse in the Bible is: “Jesus wept.” Many can even tell you that verse is John 11:35.
Yet how often do we read over verses such as this without considering why Jesus wept?

1 Thessalonians 5:16 ¶ Rejoice evermore. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
This study looks at some of these short verses to tease out what they mean and why they are there.
