Scripture Alone – The first of the five solas of the reformation is vitally important. Yet many protestants deny this in words or in deeds.
Is scripture the only and final authority, or is the Holy Spirit whispering in your ear? Does your authority rest on the Word of God, or some ethereal and unexplainable ‘still small voice’?
How often protestants try to wrest the authority from the scripture to add there own feelings, such as when the ‘feel called’ of the Lord to do something. Your feelings are not scripture, nor are any extra-Biblical words that are heard in your head.
Sola scripture – the completed Word of God is the only thing necessary “That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
