The USA in comparison to the rest of the world has much more political, social and economic liberty. Freedom is something to be cherished and celebrated.
Yet all people, even all of creation, is trapped in the bondage of vanity. This is examined in detail in the book of Ecclesiastes as Solomon examines all things “under the sun.”
But we don’t have to live in that bondage. Paul tells the Galatians: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1) The blood of Christ has made us free from guilt, free from vanity, free from the law, and placed us in Christ.
Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
