Government was created to be the foundation of truth and justice.
“The administration of justice is the firmest pillar of government. “
“The very idea of the power and right of the people to establish government presupposes the duty of every individual to obey the established government.” “The aggregate happiness of society, which is best promoted by the practice of a virtuous policy, is, or ought to be, the end of all government.”
These and more statements were made by our most important founding father and first president. The principles of these are straight from scripture. But why do we need government at all? And speaking of good government: how can we discern between a good government and a bad one. And should we rebel against bad government?
