Some Calvinists say that God controls everything right down to the tiniest particle that makes up the atoms in a dust mote. This notion makes everything and everyone special, because God is intimately manipulating all things great and small in His creation.
This means that every human being is special in God’s ultimate plan and purpose.
It also means that God causes people to sin, and He is the Author of all evil actions of each individual. But scripture paints a different picture. There are things that are common to all men.
It is especially noteworthy that when God has caused something that isn’t common, He has also foretold it before it happened.
All of God’s will, including His will for every human, can be found only in His Word.
