Brer Rabbit was caught by a fox. From the jaws of the fox, he plead: “Please Mr. Fox, you can do anything you want to me, but please, please don’t throw me into that briar patch.” The fox then threw Brer Rabbit into the briar patch, which in essence freed the sly rabbit. The rabbit outfoxed the fox through wisdom.
God outfoxed Satan by wisdom. He focused all of history on the earth, so Satan focused his efforts on the earth. But God had kept a secret since before the world began. That secret was focused on the heaven, and God’s plan for the fruition of the heaven.
