Everyone is responsible for studying God’s Word to verify that the doctrines they are being taught are true. Paul warns of men who will beguile you. There are also false teachers who present themselves as ministers of light. Cunning men using craftiness will try to deceive you. But Paul also tells us how to identify these men and how to walk in…
When Paul talks about Jesus being the image of God, he is not saying he is the likeness. He is showing that Christ was indeed God. When he says Christ is the firstborn, he is showing that Jesus is given all the wealth and authority of all men.
In Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians, each book looks at relationships in the body of Christ. Ephesians is about the relationship of the body of Christ to its’ head; Colossians is concerned with the relationship of the head to the body, and finally Philippians is emphasizing the relationship of the body to each other. This is why the salutations in each book is…
Oftentimes when we read or listen to the scriptures, we tend to gloss over many words that are there. This is nothing new to this age. Even when Christ was on the earth and teaching his disciples, they often didn’t really hear what he was saying. Just as what they heard was formed by their world view, so often what we read…

Solomon was the one to finally bring this to fruition. After the fall of Israel, God again gave a plan to dwell among men to the…
Israel’s attack on Iran is nothing new. The animosity in the Middle East began in Abraham’s tent and continues through this day. The war plans weren’t new either. They hearken back to the previous message about Joshua an Ai.
God’s plan for Satan’s defeat is foreshadowed in the book of Joshua. When Israel entered the land after Jericho, their first battle was against the city of Ai. God instructed Joshua how to go about defeating them, and Satan should have paid attention. Joshua hid 30,000 men behind the city by night. Then at daybreak, Joshua made a frontal attack on the…
The promised Messiah was to come from the line of David, but Solomon’s line was written childless at Jehoichin, destroying the kingly line. Christ wasn’t of Solomon’s line, but was born of a virgin: the seed of the woman. But Joseph, his adopted father, was of that line, and Mary was of the line of Nathan, the son of David. Herod then,…
